Hurt Syndicate botch becomes viral, AEW’s ‘Indy-Level Talent’ criticized.
The Hurt Syndicate was in action during AEW’s latest Summer Blockbuster on June 11. Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF went against Mascara Dorada, Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight. During the match, the former superstars botched a sequence of moves with Knight and Bailey. Not only did fans begin talking about it, but Jim Cornette as well.
On X, Jim Cornette went on a rant and said that AEW stars can’t “improve their in-ring” skills because fans keep praising them, while the “real” professionals are making mistakes, implying the botches came from Shelton and Lashley.
“Another reason why @AEW’s indy-level talent will never improve their in-ring game–their fans keep telling them they’re all good and the occasional REAL pros that wander in are making the mistakes. Hong Kong Phoey & pal need to stick to basics until they can get THAT stuff right.”

Mike Bailey Sends A Message To Hurt Syndicate After Their AEW Clash
The winners of the aforementioned match were The Hurt Syndicate. Still, the loss didn’t discourage Speedball and The Jet as they continued to set their sights on the group.
On this week’s vlog of Speedball Mike Bailey, he shared that Jet Speed, his duo with Kevin Knight, is not going away and that Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, MVP, and MJF will have to permanently end them to do so.
“They want us to go away, they’re going to have to do more than just hurt us. They’re going to have to kill us.”
It remains to be seen what is next for The Hurt Syndicate in AEW.
