Hurt Syndicate Could Still Get Another New Member In AEW

AEW group The Hurt Syndicate

The Hurt Syndicate might welcome another member in AEW.

After Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP left WWE, they reunited at AEW and formed The Hurt Syndicate, which originated from the Stamford-based promotion’s The Hurt Business. Almost all the original members are still part of the group, except for Cedric Alexander, who is currently in TNA. Still, the possibility of the OG lineup coming back together is not entirely impossible.

Cedric Alexander reunited with the AEW faction while talking with Going Ringside during the River City Wrestling Convention. The TNA star was asked what it means to him that he reunited with his former stablemate. While he initially answered that it was a one-time only event, it might change in the future.

“Well, of course, this just means, you know, the band’s back together for at least one time. One time, one night only. Uh maybe more in the future. We’ll see. We’ll see. We’ll see.”

Although Alexander is not part of the group now, The Hurt Syndicate returned to being a four-member faction after MJF was added in May 2025.

Cedric Alexander Regretted Re-Signing With WWE When The Hurt Syndicate Debuted in AEW

While The Hurt Syndicate exited WWE in 2024, Cedric departed the company in February this year. However, it seemed like he wanted to exit as soon as he saw his former teammates at AEW.

During an appearance on Knockouts and 3 Counts, Alexander noted that after MVP and Shelton appeared in AEW, he questioned his decision to re-sign with WWE, as he dreamed of working with them again. Still, he was happy for them for achieving success.

When I even realized MVP showed up (at) AEW and then Shelton (Benjamin), I was like, ‘Ah, man. I shouldn’t have re-signed that last contract, huh?’ That was something I had dreamed of doing so I was like, ‘Aw man, should I have really re-signed that last contract?’ I was like, ‘Ah, it’d be fun. It’ll work out.’ If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be kind of thing and I kind of just be happy for the boys and they’re doing their thing at another place and I was just happy for ‘em, and then, oh! I get released. I’m like, ‘Oh! So maybe it is meant to be. This is something that I can really look forward to,’” H/T Fightful
