AEW Grand Slam Mexico ended with a huge brawl.

The main event of AEW’s first-ever show in Mexico, Grand Slam, ended in a huge brawl. The match was a 10-man tag team match which saw The Beast Mortos, The Death Riders (without Claudio Castignoli), and The Young Bucks take on The Opps, Swerve Strickland, and Will Ospreay.

It was a gruelling battle, but one that ended in Mortos, the Riders, and the Bucks’ favor after Jon Moxley took advantage of some help from Marina Shafir to steal the win. What followed, though, was pure and utter chaos as a brawl broke out between all the parties involved.

Things were about to get worse as Moxley had Strickland in a hold, ready for the Bucks to land a couple of Superkicks. However, that is when Hangman Page‘s music hit, leading to a tense confrontation between him and Moxley.

The duo gave fans in attendance a preview of what is to come at AEW All In Texas, but the brawl quickly came to an end after the AEW World Champion rolled out of the ring. This, of course, led to Page attacking Matt Jackson, which opened up a whole other can of worms.

A new alliance was teased at AEW Grand Slam Mexico

As mentioned above, Hangman Page’s decision to save Swerve Strickland and indirectly attack Matt Jackson at AEW Grand Slam Mexico has opened up a huge can of worms. After all, the Young Bucks and Hangman are supposed to be allies.

To be fair to Page, he had warned Matt and Nick Jackson last week not to meddle with Strickland or his business. Looks like he was being serious about it, but his actions have done more than potentially sever the bonds between him and the Bucks.

His actions tonight may have confirmed the potential for a new alliance that has been teased for weeks now. An alliance between himself, Strickland, and the man who has been trying to get them on the same page, Will Ospreay.
