Just hours ahead of SummerSlam 2024, a historic stipulation has been added for Cody Rhodes’ match against Solo Sikoa.
The new Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa finds himself engaged in a feud with Rhodes. Positioned at the head of the table now, Sikoa has been constantly taking shots against both Reigns and Rhodes, igniting major tension.
The original Tribal Chief is now rumored to return at SummerSlam, and the latest announced stipulation can boost that return. At ‘Mania 40, Rhodes and Reigns went against each other in a Bloodline Rules match, where everything was allowed. The bout witnessed the return of John Cena and The Undertaker.
As the same stipulation gets announced for the WWE Championship bout in Cleveland, fans can expect Roman Reigns to show up. A Bloodline Rules match is ideally a no-disqualification match where things can easily turn violent.
As The American Nightmare defends his Championship, interference from The Bloodline can be expected, with Reigns potentially showing up later.
Cody Rhodes Plans On Bringing Back Vintage WWE Championship Design
During an interview with GQ, Cody Rhodes treated the fans with a nostalgic idea. Rhodes shared his desire to reintroduce the winged-eagle design WWE Championship back to the company.
I’d say one of the things I like about the title a lot is it’s not a nameplate. Now, it’s all about your individual side plates. I also love that this title is specifically this generation’s title. I am fond of the Winged Eagle, which is the title from the 1990s.”
