After months of wait, a former WWE Champion has finally arrived on AEW.
The Fright Night Dynamite episode on 30th October began with a bang and concluded on an even higher note. The event saw several interesting buildups, returns, title-win, and an even shocking debut.
The main event of the night saw Swerve Strickland defeat Shelton Benjamin after a hard-fought battle. However, as the match finished, Benjamin’s manager, MVP, called for help.
After a gap of almost five months, fans finally witnessed ‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley make his AEW debut. Lashley was last seen in a match against Santos Escobar during a WWE live tour on 05/05.
In the rumors for several weeks, Bobby Lashley has finally made his presence felt. Instantly partnering up with MVP and Benjamin, the trio wreaked havoc on Prince Nana and a tired Strickland. The show closed, with Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate standing tall over the victims.
New AEW World Tag Team Champions Crowned On Fright Night Dynamite
Toward the closing stages of the show, fans witnessed The Private Party defeat The Young Bucks to win their first World Tag Team Championship in AEW. With a lot at stake, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen were able to defeat the EVPs.
However, while The Private Party stood tall, The Young Bucks quickly wrapped up their things and left the building before Jon Moxley’s Blackpool Combat Club could get them. Unfortunately, their ally Brandon Cutler got left behind and suffered a tragic end at the hands of the BCC.
Things are getting nasty at the Jacksonville-based promotion as the locker room now relies on Orange Cassidy, who is set to face Moxley for the World title at Full Gear.
Now that the debut has taken place, new details on Bobby Lashley’s debut have been revealed.
