Former TNT Champion Miro Gone From AEW

Miro in AEW

One former TNT Champion is no longer with AEW.

Back in September, reports emerged that Miro had requested his release from All Elite Wrestling. The star hasn’t wrestled since defeating Andrade at Worlds End in December of 2023, and Fightful Select reported that while he had been healthy for quite some time, he and the company were unable to come to terms creatively.

At the time, the former TNT Champion’s request was not granted, but according to a new report from PWInsider, Miro is now gone from All Elite Wrestling. The report notes that at long last, he and the company came to a mutual agreement on his exit.

Like many other wrestlers, Miro is signed to Paradigm Talent Agency for representation in Hollywood and other projects. WWE’s Alexa Bliss recently signed with the same agency.

Miro Was Homeless At One Point Prior To Joining WWE & AEW

During a 2022 interview with Renee Paquette, the former TNT Champion opened up about his difficulties after coming to American and working as a house painter. He said:

“I was supposed to work for three months…but after the first month I got kicked out, I got fired. They told me I was not good at my job, I was a painter of houses in Richmond, Virginia. I had to paint outside houses and I had never done this in my life. I am not saying I was good at my job but to fire me and to kick me out on the street, kick me out of the house – because they provided the housing.

I was in America for one month then I got kicked out with $150 on the street in America! There was a couple guys that I knew from work, they were like, ‘Okay, come live with us – I was 20, I took a huge debt to come to America, about $5000 and this Bulgaria, so $5000 in Bulgaria in 2005 oh my gosh.”

Following the release, Miro’s first post-AEW appearance has been announced.

In recent news, Rusev has returned to WWE on the April 21, 2025, episode of Raw.
