Loud groans filled the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia as Jon Moxley retained his AEW World Championship.
Coming up just after an extremely lengthy triple threat match for the International Championship, fans witnessed an almost equally long Jon Moxley versus Swerve Strickland match as the main-event bout for Dynasty 2025.
Soon after the match began, it turned bloody. Moxley bit Strickland’s forehead as blood started oozing out. Things did not just stop as the violent antics continued, with cheap shots and continuous shots to Strickland’s facial wound. However, the tides soon turned when Strickland gained the upper hand and almost had the match won, before the referee got knocked out.
As soon as the referee was out, chaos ensued. With Marina Shafir getting involved, followed by The Death Riders alongside Adam Page. While The Hangman stood confused between Strickland and Moxley, The Death Riders launched their ambush on Page, before the former World Champion knocked all of them out. However, as Moxley attacked Page and kicked him out of the ring, fans saw Samoa Joe, Hook, and Katsuyori Shibata run down the ring to make the save.
As the chaos started dying down, Strickland took his chance and was about to deliver a Swerve Stomp from the top rope when the lights went out. As the lights came back on, fans were greeted by the returning Young Bucks.
Following a well-executed EVP Trigger by Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks, Strickland was left vulnerable for Moxley’s pinfall victory. Following Moxley’s swift departure after retaining his championship, Strickland and Page were left bewildered and seeking explanations. The intent behind The Young Bucks’ attack on Strickland remained unclear to both the announcers and the audience.

The EVPs of All Elite Wrestling made their much-awaited return at Dynasty 2025, following their title loss on the 30th October episode of Dynamite. The Young Bucks have a long-running issue with Strickland stemming from Blood & Guts 2024, when Strickland led a team against The Elite.
Fans now need to wait till the 9th April episode of Dynamite to learn more about the attack.
Another Former AEW Champion Returned At Dynasty 2025
During the zero-hour of the Dynasty PPV, former tag-team champion Anthony Bowens answered Max Caster’s open challenge. Former tag-team partners, the duo split up earlier this year in January. Absent since then, Bowens finally arrived and made his presence felt against Caster.
Defeating the ‘Best Wrestler Alive’ in under a minute, Anthony Bowens stood tall.
