Texas Deathmatch announced for AEW Collision Maximum Carnage.
Tonight’s 11th January Collision episode began with a violent and close match between Cope and Big Bill. Despite his ongoing rivalry with Jon Moxley, Cope also finds himself in an active feud against Chris Jericho.
Similar to the Rated-R superstar, another wrestler with issues with Jon Moxley, is currently involved in a rivalry with a former AEW EVP. Taking over Kenny Omega’s duties amid his absence last year, Daniels has now been relieved of his duties upon The Cleaner’s recent return.
Involved in multiple heated segments against Adam Page for the past few weeks, things took a new turn last week. While Daniels offered to help Page for the past few times, ‘Hangman’ refused them every time, and even hit the former TNA star a few times.
However, on the 4th January episode of Collision, Daniels lost his patience and snapped back at the former AEW World Champion. Tonight, Hangman Adam Page challenged Christopher Daniels to a Texas Deathmatch at Collision Maximum Carnage on January 18, which the latter accepted. Infamous for his violent style and Texas deathmatches, Page has been involved in several of those in the past.
As of now, no further bouts have been scheduled for Collision Maximum Carnage.
An Absent AEW Star Is Not Expected To Return For Months
Former TNT Champion Darby Allin was last seen in a match on the December 22nd episode of Dynamite against Ricochet in a time-limit draw. After which he was taken out by Jon Moxley and thrown off the stairs.
According to Fightful Select, Allin has been off the road recently. It further suggested that the former champion has begun training for his upcoming Mount Everest expedition, and is not expected to be back for several months.
