Former AEW TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs has been given the all clear to compete and is now just waiting for the call.
Hobbs last competed on Dynamite back in April and challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, Hobbs suffered a knee injury in the match that facilitated a rushed ending. Following multiple updates on social media regarding his recovery, Fightful Select reported back in September that Hobbs was cleared to compete.
While appearing on the In The Kliq podcast, Hobbs confirmed that his “gruesome injury” had now fully healed and that he is now ready to come back to TV:
“Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury. Me being me, I’ve been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I’m cleared. I’m back. It’s already been put out in the internet world that I’m cleared. Time to pick up where I left off,”
At the time of writing it is unknown when Hobbs will make his return to action. However, with Jon Moxley now reigning as the new World Champion in AEW, Hobbs may have unfinished business with the man who put him on the shelf.

After more than a year away from the ring, Adam Cole made his surprise return at WrestleDream to save Daniel Garcia from another beatdown by MJF. On the next episode of Dynamite, Cole will be appearing live to address his time away and what he has planned for the foreseeable future. While many are excited to hear from Adam Cole, the same can’t be said for MJF.
