Drew McIntyre Exploring Opportunities Outside WWE, Signs With Major Talent Agency

Drew McIntyre Contract Negotiations: How WWE Character Change Factored Into Plans

Drew McIntyre is exploring new opportunities outside of WWE.

At Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre was riding high when he climbed the ladder and secured the briefcase, earning himself a guaranteed shot to recapture the World Heavyweight Championship he lost to Damian Priest after CM Punk’s attack at WrestleMania.

However, when McIntyre cashed in his briefcase later in the night to enter a triple threat match with Priest and Seth Rollins, Punk once again intervened with an attack. The Scottish star was pinned, and his hopes of becoming World Heavyweight Champion were once again dashed.

Enraged, Drew McIntyre crashed the press conference following the PLE and threatened Punk before he inadvertently struck Raw GM Adam Pearce, earning himself a suspension for his trouble. His fine was later doubled after launching an insult at Pearce on social media.

Now, Variety reports that McIntyre is joining the likes of fellow stars in signing with Paradigm, a talent agency that’s already signed the likes of CM Punk, Damian Priest, and Tiffany Stratton.

“When One Door Closes…” – Drew McIntyre

Taking to social media, McIntyre responded to news of his signing by pointing to his storyline suspension, writing:

‘When one door closes…’

Since I’m officially suspended by @WWE, I’ll be looking forward to exploring new opportunities

Drew McIntyre stars alongside fellow WWE legend Dave Bautista in an upcoming thriller called The Killer’s Game, set to be released on September 12th, 2024. The first trailer for The Killer’s Game was released in early June and the synopsis is as follows:

A veteran assassin is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself. After ordering the kill, an army of former colleagues pounce and a new piece of information comes to light. Insanity ensues.
