A familiar face could join Death Riders in AEW.
The Death Riders were present at the recent AEW Summer Blockbuster. The group attacked Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, and Prince Nana following their match. Later in the show, Hangman Adam Page also became their target until The Opps showed up. Interestingly, Kris Statlander also got involved in the group in another way.
After Kris Statlander betrayed former partner Willow Nightingale, she has been trying to apologize to the latter, but she keeps refusing to hear her out. Kris was ranting about this situation again backstage before Wheeler Yuta appeared.
Wheeler said that Kris should make her own choices, and even implied extending an invitation to join the Death Riders, but he was rejected by Statlander. On her way out, Kris also had a staredown with Marina Shafir.

Wheeler and Kris aren’t strangers to one another, as they were previously together in Best Friends in 2021. Interestingly, their time together in the group was referenced in the AEW segment. During their exchange, Wheeler said that Kris might have a hard time seeing how things are working out for Yuta, implying that she hasn’t been having the best time.
Death Riders Is Scheduled For A Major AEW Tag Team Match Next Week
After the Death Riders attacked several stars in the recent episode, it’s no surprise that those same names are now set to take on the group in an exciting 10-man tag team match.
As announced earlier at AEW Summer Blockbuster, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and The Young Bucks will take on Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, and The Opps next week on AEW Grand Slam Mexico at the Arena Mexico in Mexico.
