Former WWE star Killian Dain, aka Big Damo, has suffered a heartbreaking loss.
Killian Dain was best known for his time in NXT, when he was part of the faction, Sanity. The group consisted of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, and his wife, Nikki Cross.
While Sanity has also performed on World Wrestling Entertainment’s main roster, the bulk of their work was mostly in the former black-and-gold brand. The faction itself was WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H’s idea, who was inspired by the 2006 film Smokin’ Aces.
After his release in June 2021 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic-enforced budget cuts, Killian Dain wrestled for All Elite Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and other independent promotions under the ring name Big Damo.

Taking to X/Twitter, Killian Dain penned a heartbreaking note about his late mother, Fiona Elizabeth Mackle.
He noted that it was his mother who had supported him through hard times, which ultimately allowed him to pursue a career in pro wrestling.
RIP to my mother, Fiona Elizabeth Mackle. She allowed me to dream big, then supported me every step of the way. She leaves an incredible hole in all our lives but we were so lucky to have her. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam,” wrote Dain.

Killian Dain married fellow WWE star Nikki Cross in 2019. Cross is now signed to Friday Night SmackDown, where she is part of The Wyatt Sicks faction. The group’s Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis currently hold the WWE Tag Team Championship.
It remains to be seen if Dain ever finds his way back to the sports entertainment capital.
