CM Punk has seemingly had a dig at one of his former AEW rivals.
There is certainly no love lost between Punk and Adam Hangman Page, whose feud over the AEW World Championship.
During the feud, their promos blurred the lines between fiction and reality. Notably, Page cut a promo referencing Punk’s real life problems with Colt Cabana, which reportedly angered Punk.
Reports surfaced that Punk felt disrespected by Page’s comments, which Punk believed went off-script and alluded to real-life issues.
Punk then fired back during an unscripted promo after his return, calling out Page in a way that wasn’t planned in the storyline.
This incident was part of larger tensions involving Punk and AEW’s locker room, culminating in the infamous All Out 2022 brawl, where Punk had a backstage altercation with members of The Elite. While Page wasn’t directly involved in the fight, his earlier conflict with Punk contributed to the strained environment.
Despite no longer being in the same company tension has remained between the two. During a backstage interview at Saturday Night’s Main Event Punk seemingly took another shot at Page for using the term “moveset”.
What Did CM Punk Say About The Star?
Although Punk didn’t reference Page directly in his comments about the term “moveset” the sharp words came after Page posted the following about WWE’s Logan Paul:
i hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool
“Don’t say moveset. It’s nerdy, it’s garbage. It’s garbage internet wrestling talk. If you say that, you’re an idiot. Especially if you’re a wrestler and you say moveset. That 100% tells me that you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.”
