Now that he’s fully back in the AEW fold it seems that CM Punk will be involved at Wembley Stadium on August 27th.
While his AEW status was uncertain, CM Punk was absent from all advertising for All In despite being one of the biggest stars in the company, and the show being arguably the biggest in its history.
However, that’s changed and it now seems all but certain that the two-time AEW World Champion will be involved. In the latest edition of the British newspaper The Metro, Punk is featured front and centre in a full-page advert for the show. While cards are always subject to change, it’s unlikely that Punk would be positioned so prominently if he wasn’t going to be involved.
Also featured in the ad are FTR, Samoa Joe, Kris Statlander, and PAC.
No Kenny Omega Vs. Will Ospreay At All In?
While CM Punk might be heading to All In, Will Ospreay’s status for the event appears much more uncertain. The British star and Kenny Omega tore the house down at Forbidden Door with their match being praised across the board, including being awarded six stars by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
On the night, Ospreay earned the win, meaning that the score between them now stands at 1-1 after Omega picked up the victory at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
This has led to speculation that the pair will meet for a third time at All In. Ospreay has been open about his desire to wrestle at the event, and being British would get a monster reception should he appear. However, if he does, it seems he won’t be doing so opposite Omega. Speaking after their most recent match, Ospreay said that he would be open to pursuing other challenges before returning to face Omega again.
