Chris Jericho Weighs In On “Typical WWE Pettiness”

Chris Jericho Weighs In On

Chris Jericho has criticised WWE for what some have deemed as “pettiness” in relation to a tribute to the late Bob Barker.

The beloved game show host passed away on August 26th, 2023, prompting WWE to pay homage to him on the August 28th episode of WWE Raw.

Jericho had an encounter with Barker on an episode of Raw when he hosted a segment titled “The Price is Raw” which is a parody of the famous gameshow “The Price is Right” which Barker hosted for 35 years.

However, fans and Jericho himself noticed a glaring omission in the tribute. Despite his memorable interaction with Barker during his time in WWE, Jericho’s encounter was not included in the footage aired on television screens.

A Jericho fan who noticed the glaring omission posted on X:

How they gonna show the Bob Barker footage and not show the best part, his confrontation with @IAmJericho. Come on! #WWERaw

To which another fan replied “Typical WWE pettiness.” Expressing his agreement with fans’ sentiments of WWE’s “typical pettiness” in excluding his interaction with the late star, Jericho replied simply “Yup.”

The omission has raised questions about WWE’s motives and sparked discussion among wrestling enthusiasts.

What Is Chris Jericho Doing Now?

Chris Jericho recently competed in a match against Will Ospreay at AEW All In, held on August 27th at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Although Jericho put in a good performance and showcased breathtaking athleticism, he was unable to pick up the victory against the younger adversary. As for Jericho’s future plans with AEW, they remain unclear at this time.
