Chris Jericho Makes Bold Prediction For ROH

Chris Jericho with Ring of Honor Title ROH

Chris Jericho believes the future of Ring of Honor is bright.

Tony Khan announced in 2022 that he’d purchased Ring of Honor, adding the brand to the AEW umbrella. The promotion has been without a television deal since the acquisition, with fans catching the action through the ROH HonorClub service, and occasionally on AEW programming when ROH title matches take place. In 2022, Khan reportedly had an offer from the CW Network to broadcast Ring of Honor, but those talks didn’t lead to a deal.

In October of 2024, Chris Jericho won the ROH World Championship when he defeated Mark Briscoe on Dynamite. According to Jericho, this title change indicates that Tony Khan has big plans for the future of the brand, and that Khan will secure a streaming deal as he’s “fully invested” in Ring of Honor’s success. Speaking with Scott Fishman of TVInsider, Jericho said:

“I think the fact Tony Khan put the title on me again is because Chris Jericho as the Ring of Honor World Champion, streaming platforms might pay more attention to it. I know Tony is working on that and has a couple of offers. I don’t know if they are offers he wants. I think he wants to try and expand those offers.”

Chris Jericho “A Thousand Percent Sure” Tony Khan Will Secure Streaming Deal For ROH

Continuing, Chris Jericho made it clear that he believes Tony Khan will be able to accomplish anything he sets his mind to, including an ROH streaming deal.

“I’m a thousand percent sure that he will continue to work to get a streaming deal because when he sets his mind on something, he usually makes it happen. He has invested fully in the Ring of Honor brand and product. I have no doubt there will be a bigger platform for Ring of Honor at some point.”

Recently, AEW announced that ROH Supercard of Honor will end a longstanding tradition in 2025.

In a new interview, Chris Jericho spoke about the Britt Baker situation.
