AEW President Tony Khan revealed on social media that AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will face Bryan Danielson in a highly anticipated “Final Showdown” on the August 21st episode of AEW Dynamite. This event will take place at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales as the two competitors prepare for their championship clash at AEW All In.
The stakes are incredibly high for Danielson, who will be fighting not only for the AEW World Title but also for his wrestling career. If he loses to Strickland at All In, Danielson has stated that he will retire from professional wrestling.
