Bryan Danielson opens up on a hilarious story about his son, Buddy.
AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson is in a heated rivalry with his former Blackpool Combat Club (BCC) partner, Jon Moxley. The two are set to collide against each other at WrestleDream for the Championship.
However, before his tense match tomorrow, Danielson shared a light-hearted incident about his son, Buddy’s school life. In an interview with Taryn Daly and Steve Migs on The Daly Migs Show, the current champion shared:
We had a parent-teacher conference at my daughter’s school and it was like, ‘Your daughter is the best. She’s the best student. She’s so helpful.’ Later that night, I get an email from where our son was going to school telling us he had been kicked out of school for ‘biting two teachers and gouging one in the eye.’ [laughs]. Of course they’re like, ‘Of course, the wrestler’s son is gouging somebody in the eye.’ Some of the things I’ve done…..[laughs]. We’re like, ‘No we don’t let him watch wrestling. That’s not me in real life.”

Although Danielson does not allow Buddy to watch wrestling, it seems his pro wrestling gene is already active. His children were present at ringside with their mother, Brie Bella (Brie Garcia) at AEW All In and celebrated Danielson’s title win later that night.
With his pro wrestling career nearing its end, once he loses the title, fans will again be on the edge of their seats as the two friends go against each other tomorrow night.
Bryan Danielson Addresses Injury Scare After AEW Dynamite
On the 5th anniversary of Dynamite, Danielson faced off against Kazuchika Okada in a ‘champion vs champion’ match. After the 32-minute encounter, The American Dragon emerged victorious and retained his World title.
In a recent interview with Anthony Sulla-Heffinger for Uncrowned, Bryan Danielson claimed to lose strength in his legs during the match, hinting toward his persisting neck issues.
Midway through the match, I started losing strength in my legs. There’s a point later in the match where I’m trying to kick him and I can’t turn over my kicks. That’s something that I have the body mechanics to do because I have been doing it for so long, but here I am and I can’t turn my hip over for this kick.
When I got to the back, I went to the trainer right away and they worked on me for like 30 minutes. They said it was stemming from the neck stuff. It’s getting to a point where, physically, we’re seeing the signs. I haven’t been sleeping well because I have been having this shooting pain down my arm.”
