Bryan Danielson spoke to the fans following the conclusion of AEW Dynamite.
The October 2nd episode of Dynamite, which saw the World Champion defend the title against Kazuchika Okada in the main event, also celebrated the 5th anniversary of the show first being broadcast on TV. Following the victory, Danielson was attacked by Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Pac before Wheeler Yuta made the save. Siding with Danielson, Yuta announced that a tag team match would take place next week between himself and Danielson vs. Pac and Castagnoli.
While this was where the broadcast cut, Danielson was met by Tony Khan on the entrance ramp moments later. As seen in the digital exclusive, Khan first thanked the Pittsburg crowd and Danielson, with The American Dragon issuing thanks of his own, noting that he could have stayed with WWE for life but chose to sign with AEW as it has the best performers in the world:
“First of all, I’d like to thank Tony Khan. Without him, AEW wouldn’t be here. You wouldn’t have an alternative. It is better that AEW exists for the wrestlers, for the production people, and for professional wrestling fans. I first wrestled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 23 years ago. I don’t know if you guys remember, but you were the crowd that made me into a WrestleMania main eventer [laughs]. So I just wanted to say thank you, Pittsburgh.
Last but certainly not least, I want to thank all the men and women in the back because they’re the ones who made this place so great that I had a lifetime job at WWE, and I chose to come here because there were the best wrestlers in the world, the best fans in the world, and this is the best wrestling company in the world. Next week, check out WrestleDream because at WrestleDream, in Tacoma, Washington, I am gonna kick Jon Moxley’s f*cking head in.”
One week later, Bryan Danielson once again spoke to the fans.
