Bryan Danielson has addressed his current status with All Elite Wrestling and why he was at the All In press event in December 2024.
Last year saw The American Dragon bring his full-time in-ring career to a close as he lost the World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream. With Danielson competing at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom at the start of the year and headlining All In at Wembley Stadium, the former World Champion was given a memorable final year as his in-ring future remains uncertain.
Ahead of his match at All In, Danielson confirmed that he was not under contract and did not sign a new deal before the loss at WrestleDream. However, the former World Champion was in Texas late last year to promote the upcoming All In pay-per-view.
Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Danielson confirmed that he had not signed a new contract and was at the event as he was invited by Tony Khan:
“No, just Tony and I were talking on Friday, and he said, ‘We’ve got this All-In on sale event.’ I said, ‘Oh, do you want me to come? I’d love to.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, I’d love to see you.’ So here I am.”
Having not appeared on AEW TV since the loss, it is still unknown when or if Danielson will return to wrestling.
Former Bryan Danielson Rival Hopeful For One More Match
If Danielson does decide to make his return to wrestling, there are many top names in both AEW and other promotions that have unfinished business with The American Dragon. Speaking in an interview at the start of the year, Zack Sabre Jr. spoke about potentially wrestling Bryan Danielson one more time.
