Back in 2019, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins made the decision to go public with the fact that they were romantically involved with one another. Soon after their relationship was known to the world at large, Rollins and Lynch began appearing together on television, and their on-screen partnership was met with mixed reactions from fans.
Speaking in a recent interview with Vulture, Lynch addressed the decision to publicly address her relationship with Rollins, explaining why the two were hesitant to share the news.
“Wrestling relationships can get messy. I’d never been in a relationship that hadn’t broken up, and neither had he. It’s one of those things, especially when you’re climbing to the top, and you don’t want anything to take the wheels off the car. We weren’t sure if we would come forward with it.”
Continuing, Lynch explained that the couple knew their romance was likely to be turned into a storyline if the news was public, and that’s exactly what happened.
“Then if we came forward with it, then surely Vince would want us in a story line. He did, and it was bad.”

After confirming their relationship in 2019, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were married on June 29, 2021.
