Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have welcomed their first child, Roux, into the world – with the former RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion announcing the news on Instagram.
Sharing an adorable and heartwarming photo of herself and Rollins holding the hand of their newborn child, Lynch’s pun game wasn’t far away, even following childbirth, as The Man tweeted a celebratory “and new” tag.
“Welcome to the world Roux. You are the love of our lives. #andnew”
Congratulatory messaged flooded the comments from the WWE Universe and the wider world of wrestling.
Back in May, Lynch continued to innovate the wrestling industry by announcing her pregnancy on WWE television. After smashing down the barriers of gender inequality by main-eventing WrestleMania and adopting the moniker of ‘The Man’ – Lynch would announce that she was taking time away from wrestling to start a family despite being at the very top of the mountain in the industry, directly addressing something that’s been seen as somewhat of a taboo in wrestling for generations.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins was seemingly written off the television at Survivor Series to embark on his paternity leave, sacrificing himself “for the greater good” to a Brogue Kick from Sheamus.
