One more former WWE star has signed with AEW.
In the recent few weeks, fans have witnessed the debuts of former WWE stars MVP and Shelton Benjamin in WWE. As rumors and updates for Bobby Lashley’s debut still float, the promotion announced the signing of another former WWE star, Lio Rush.
In an AEW digital exclusive footage released, Alicia Atout announced that Rush has signed his second contract with Tony Khan’s promotion. Rush was previously present in the Jacksonville-based promotion from September 2021 to February 2022.
Announcing his second term with the promotion, Rush stated:
This right here means a lot of people are getting put on notice. This officially means that I’m All Elite, that I’m back in AEW.”
The segment would then be interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin who asked the whereabouts of Tony Khan. However, as Rush asked them to wait, MVP teased a future match between him and Benjamin at the upcoming Dynamite episode.
Rush is currently in a partnership with Top Flight’s Dante and Darius Martin, along with Action Andretti and Leila Grey. He also recently won the RevPro’s British J Cup. Before he departed from WWE, Rush was also involved in a storyline alongside Bobby Lashley from 2018 to 2019.
