AEW’s weekly web series Hey! (EW) has provided many shocking and hilarious moments since its inception in 2022.
Hosted by RJ City, the sit-down interview-styled show features a different member of AEW‘s roster each week. Stars such as Bryan Danielson, Hikaru Shida and Thunder Rosa have appeared on the show over the last couple of months, with all episodes viewing figures being in the tens of thousands.
This week, however, seems to have discovered the biggest revelation of all!
AEW Star Reveals They Were Excommunicated From Church For Lighting A Child On Fire
Hey! (EW)’s guest this week was Skye Blue, who is set to face Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship on Dynamite this week.
When asked to name the worst thing she had ever done, Skye Blue replied with the following;
“I got excommunicated from Church. I may or may not have lit a kid on fire. Sorry, guys,”
RJ City followed up by trying to establish why this incident happened, asking Skye Blue whether it was simply because she didn’t like the kid.
“I just didn’t like him. I didn’t like a lot of people back then. My mom was in the back row watching and she was like, ‘Don’t do it. Don’t do it, bitch. Don’t do it.’ … She gets very scared when I come to work. That’s why she says, ‘Don’t do dumb shit.'”
“It was one of those weird, white, creepy looking robes, so they’re very flammable, and God knows when’s the last time they washed them. … He dropped [to put out the fire]. … I laughed. … They [the Church] also thought I was crazy because I had colorful hair. It wasn’t blue, though, it was pink.”
Skye Blue has not, to our knowledge, competed in an inferno match at any point in her career. However, with this incredible fire-based backstory, one can only hope that a similar twist in Blue’s on-screen character is right around the corner.
