Adam Copeland Hints At Imminent Retirement

WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW star Adam Copeland has suggested that his in-ring career may be nearing its end.

In a recent interview with King Deej on Downunder The Ring, Copeland reflected on his last match in Australia, which took place in 2008 during his WWE tenure. After being forced into retirement in 2011 due to injuries, he believed that would be his final time competing in the country. However, 17 years later, Copeland is set to return to the Australian ring at Grand Slam Australia.

On February 15, he will team up with Jay White to take on Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli in a Brisbane Brawl match. Despite the excitement surrounding his return, Copeland hinted that this may be his final match in the country.

During the interview, he stated that following this bout, it is “likely” the last time he competes in Australia, fuelling speculation that he may be planning to retire sooner rather than later. Cope, has been a major addition to AEW since debuting in 2023. However, at 51 years old, he has acknowledged the physical toll of his decades-long career. While he has not officially announced retirement, his comments suggest that the end of his storied journey in professional wrestling may be approaching.
