Adam Cole Latest Injury Update

Adam Cole

Following his IWGP World Heavyweight Title bout at Forbidden Door, a new report has shed more light on the possible injury suffered by Adam Cole.

It was previously reported that Cole suffered a concussion in his four-way bout at Forbidden Door with ‘Switchblade’ Jay White, Hangman Adam Page, and Kazuchika Okada.

Now Bryan Alvarez speaking on Wrestling Observer Live has given a new update on the situation, saying that Adam Cole also suffered a concussion in his match with Samoa Joe at Double Or Nothing:

“Adam Cole suffered what was believed to be a concussion in his match for the IWGP Heavyweight Title. It was Jay White, Okada, and Hangman [as his opponents]. I don’t know the move, I don’t know when, I was given the impression that it was somewhat early in the match and then he worked the entire rest of the match with a concussion.”

“For whatever reason, it wasn’t until later in the match he was in there with Okada, Okada went for the Rainmaker, Cole was supposed to duck which he did and then he just stayed down. Jay White jumped in the ring, tossed Okada out of the ring, rolled over Cole, held him down, and pinned him.”

“Afterward the doctor hit the ring to check on Adam Cole and he did leave under his own power. I was told when they took him backstage to examine him he was feeling alright was what I was told. But clearly, there was an injury. He’s been working with a shoulder injury – if you watch the show his shoulder’s all taped up and he had another injury in the Samoa Joe which I believe was also a concussion. So he had two concussions in the span of a month and he needs time off to get better. And hopefully, he gets a lot of time off to get better.”
