Adam Cole Hoping To Run Back WWE Rivalry In AEW

Adam Cole AEW

Which feud is Adam Cole hopeful to run back in AEW?

After missing out on almost a year’s absence, the former NXT Champion returned earlier last month and found himself in a feud against his former ally, MJF. However, his plans to face the former World Champion at Full Gear were crushed by his recent loss to Konosuke Takeshita. While MJF is now scheduled to face Roderick Strong at the PPV, Cole opened up on one of his iconic WWE rivalries.

During his appearance on 3NT Wrestling, Cole shared his interest in facing Ricochet in AEW. The two had one of the most talked-about matches in the promotion during their run in NXT. Now employed under Tony Khan, Cole hopes to replay that rivalry.

I would love it too (another match against Ricochet). Again, Ricochet is one of my favorite opponents. He’s a superhero. He’s just unbelievable; the things that he can do. So I’m so excited that he’s here in AEW and I don’t see any reason why at some point down the line, we can’t do Adam Cole versus Ricochet two in AEW now. I hope so. Me too, me too.”

Adam Cole Reflects On Losing His Chance To Face MJF At Full Gear

In an interview on The Danny Ocean Show, Cole commented on losing his chance to face MJF at Full Gear. Though he lost his opportunity, Cole’s ally Roderick Strong will now take on ‘The Salt of the Earth’ in a few days.

Obviously, truth be told, I’m a little bit bummed that I’m not in there with Roddy to teach MJF a lesson. But I figure if it can’t be me, my best friend Roderick Strong doing the deed is the next best thing. So definitely a little bit bummed, and I’ll be there. I’ve gotta be there to have a front-row seat and watch Roddy smash MJF. But yeah, unfortunately, not on the card,”
