Adam Cole Could Be Preparing For AEW Return Very Soon

Positive Update On Adam Cole Following Lengthy AEW In-Ring Absence

Adam Cole might be on his way back to AEW soon.

Last year in September, Adam Cole suffered a serious injury, when he broke his ankle in multiple places and required surgery. Cole and MJF enjoyed a close friendship until his eventual turn, costing MJF his AEW World Championship at the World’s End PPV.

The Salt of the Earth returned earlier this year and confronted Cole at AEW Double or Nothing. However, soon after, Cole was taken off television as traveling hindered his healing progression, and MJF turned heel.

A recent report from Sean Ross Sapp’s Fightful Select hints at a positive update. The report suggested Cole might soon start training for his in-ring return. However, no date or timeline was shared for the same.

The former NXT Champion was present backstage on the August 14th episode of Dynamite after being taken off the road months ago. Backstage news suggested that Cole might resume his training schedule from as early as next week, and fans can expect The Devil to return soon.

In recent news, Booker T has opened up on his honest feelings about Joe Hendry.

More Details On Adam Cole’s Injury

It has been almost a year since Adam Cole was announced out with an injury. Last year, the former champion suffered a freak injury at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam while jumping down a ramp.

Last year on the September 27th episode of Dynamite, Cole confirmed his injury, and later, during a Twitch stream shared details on his surgery.

My ankle is broken. When it’s all said and done, When I’m eventually able to get everything all fixed, I’m going to need to get two surgeries, and it will be a total of eight screws and a plate in my ankle. So, not ideal. It’s incredibly painful. It’s the most painful injury I’ve ever had.”

Cole is already on his recovery journey, and we at Inside The Ropes hope to see him in action soon.
