Absent AEW Star ‘Not Expected’ To Be Back For Months

Darby Allin AEW

Former AEW Champion expected to remain absent for months now.

Absent for almost a month now, former TNT Champion, Darby Allin was last seen competing on the December 22nd episode of Dynamite. He faced off against Ricochet in a time-limit draw, before being taken out by Jon Moxley. Thrown off the stairs by the current World Champion, Allin was written off television for a specific real-life reason.

In a recent report by Fightful Select, it was noted that Allin has been off the road recently, and has not appeared on AEW television. It further suggested that the former champion has begun training for his upcoming Mount Everest expedition, and is not expected to be back for several months.

Internal reports noted that Allin is slated for a major push upon his return, which is not expected to be until spring this year. ‘The Daredevil’ was previously scheduled to conquer Everest in 2024. However, his plans got delayed when he broke his foot while wrestling just two weeks before his departure.

He has been extensively training ahead of his journey and has been climbing smaller mountains, improving his breathing techniques.

Former AEW Champion Experiences Close Encounter With The Los Angeles Fire

With already ongoing travel issues in Georgia ahead of the 01/11 Collision episode, former tag-team champion Anthony Bowens recently became a part of it. In a travel update shared by Tony Khan earlier today, it was noted that despite flight delays and cancelations, several stars were driving their way in.

However, Anthony Bowens and his partner recently escaped a close encounter with a tragic Los Angeles wildfire and had to call out of the Collision episode. With the devastating situation in Los Angeles, we hope everyone stays safe, and the situation improves quickly.
