Zeus And Miyahara Make The All Japan Champion Carnival Final

The finals of All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Champion Carnival have now been decided with Zeus set to compete against the ‘ace’ of All Japan, Kento Miyahara.

Going into night five, the round-robin tournament had four potential finalists, with the A Block to be determined by Zeus and Jake Lee, and the B block between Miyahara and Shuji Ishikawa.

The A Block contest was built around submissions, with both Zeus and Lee searching for their new respective holds throughout. Zeus would, however, seize the day, submitting Lee with his step-over facelock to continue his undefeated streak in this year’s Carnival.

On the B side, tournament favourite Miyahara and Block dark horse Ishikawa competed in a back and forth contest which would ultimately be won by Miyahara via his patented Shutdown Suplex. The win secured Miyahara’s pathway to his third straight Champion Carnival final, having won the tournament outright last year.

The tournament final is set to take place on October 5th at Tokyo’s historic Korakuen Hall and will be streamed live via the company’s subscription service ajpw.tv.
