Zelina Vega has won the first-ever Queen’s Crown Tournament defeating Doudrop at WWE Crown Jewel.
Going into the match, Vega was considered an underdog by many with Doudrop on a roll since splitting from Eva Marie in the summer. Despite this was able to upset the former NXT UK Superstar in a little over five minutes.
The match consisted of Vega trying to use her speed advantage while Doudrop attempted to overpower her rival. It was Vega who earned the first serious near-fall of the match with a Tornado DDT. But Doudrop fought back and looked to be heading for the win lining up a splash, but Vaga countered with a Code Red to grab the win.

On October 1st it was announced that not only would the King of the Ring tournament be returning, but a new tournament called Queen’s Crown would be held for the first time.
Beginning on SmackDown, eight-women entered the tournament with Zelina Vega and Doudrop winning their way through to the final. Vega overcame the challenges of Toni Storm and later Carmella while Scottish Superstar Doudrop saw off Natalya and Shayna Bazler.
The victory for Zelina Vega marks quite the turnaround for the Superstar who was released by WWE back in November 2020. The former IMPACT Wrestling star returned to WWE in July but got off to a rocky start with a series of defeats.
The start of the Queen’s Crown tournament marked an upturn in fortunes however, as she rattled off three consecutive wins to quite literally claim the crown.
