Newly reinstated WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has commented publicly after Aleister Black shocked the wrestling world by debuting at AEW Road Rager.
All Elite Wrestling went back on the road for the first time in over a year to the James L. Knight Center in Miami for their Road Rager show. The crowd in Miami were listening to The Enforcer Arn Anderson’s brief remarks in the ring before in time-honoured wrestling tradition, the lights went out in the arena. When they came back on Aleister Black was standing in the corner of the ring as the fans in Miami raised the roof off of the arena. Black then nailed Anderson with his Black Mass spin kick before Cody Rhodes came to his head coach’s aid. Black backed off to allow Rhodes in the ring before dropping him with the deadly kick as well.
Now Black’s wife Zelina Vega has taken to social media afterward to give her thoughts on his AEW debut, simply Tweeting:
“I couldn’t be prouder”
I couldn’t be prouder 🥲🥲

Black will be known as Malakai Black in All Elite Wrestling, with his debut coming so soon after his WWE release on the 2nd of June reportedly being down to a clerical error with his WWE contract. Most WWE Superstars have a ninety-day non-compete clause stopping them from appearing for another major company in that window.
Zelina Vega herself made her return to wrestling in the past week as the former manager of Andrade El Idolo returned to WWE SmackDown. Vega was originally released from her WWE contract in October 2020 amidst the company changing its policy on its stars appearing on third-party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo. Vega had Tweeted her support for unionisation minutes before her departure was announced but that Tweet has since been deleted.
Zelina Vega will be a part of the women’s Money In The Bank match scheduled for the eponymous pay-per-view on July 18th.
