Despite being on opposite sides of professional wrestling’s great divide Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are closer than ever.
Cody Rhodes set the wrestling world on fire in early 2022 when he decided it was time to leave AEW. The move came as a shock to many given that Rhodes had helped create the company with the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Tony Khan and served as an Executive Vice President.
Despite this, Rhodes headed to pastures new — kind of — making a stunning return to WWE at WrestleMania 39.
Even while he was with AEW, there was often speculation about the American Nightmare’s relationship with The Elite, something that only increased when he left. However, it seems that the star remains on good terms with Young Bucks.
Cody Rhodes recently confirmed that he and the pair still speak, and it’s now been reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that the trio are actually in contact more than ever.
“Regarding the Young Bucks cooperating with Cody Rhodes on the Peacock documentary and releasing some BTE footage and Rhodes saying they talk regularly, the three actually talk more now than even before.”
When Is Cody Rhodes’ Documentary Released?
The relationship between Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks has been back in the spotlight after it was announced that a new documentary looking at the life and career of the WWE star will be released on July 31st. The film will look at Rhodes’ initial departure from WWE and subsequent return.
Despite being a huge part of his career, footage of Rhodes in AEW won’t be used, however, footage from Being The Elite will be included.
