Former WWE United States Champion Riddle has opened up on his relationship with Vince McMahon, saying he won’t “force” a hug from the WWE CEO.
Riddle has been taking Monday Night RAW by storm, winning the United States Championship and finding himself with a lot of television time alongside Randy Orton. Not only has Riddle shone due to his entertainment value, though, but the former UFC fighter has had many critically-acclaimed matches since moving from NXT, particularly with hard-hitting Superstar Sheamus.
“The thing is I’ve been on TV a lot. I work a lot, you know. Vince sees me every week at least once. I got I’ve got a lot of handshakes – good job, I love your stuff, this, that, a lot of compliments. I have yet to receive a Vincent McMahon hug, you know. I was hoping I’d get one after SummerSlam, but not so much. And I don’t wanna force it. I’m not forcing it. You hug me when you’re ready, bro.“
SummerSlam, of course, saw Riddle win the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships with Randy Orton as part of Team RK-Bro. Riddle also opened up on the show about how ECW legend Blue Meanie taught him how to work.
