Xavier Woods has returned to the ring at a WWE Live Event after being out of action for nine weeks.
Xavier Woods was injured on the January 7th edition of SmackDown as he and Kofi Kingston took on The Usos in a street fight. During the match, Woods jumped into the ring to deliver a DDT but was injured during the move.
He later revealed on G4’s Attack of the Show that he had suffered a torn plantaris, the muscle that runs from the back of the knee to the calf and the estimated return time was between four and six weeks.
Now, after nine weeks on the shelf, the 2021 King of the Ring has returned to action, teaming with Kofi Kingston at a WWE Live Event in Jackson, Mississippi.
WWE revealed the return in a tweet showing Xavier Woods with a member of the Jackson crowd showing their love for recently injured New Day member Big E.
