It was announced today that WWE and G4 will be teaming up to work on a new show, to be hosted by Gina Darling and Xavier Woods.
Last week a teaser was released by G4 on the official G4TV Twitter account featuring Xavier Woods and Gina Darling sitting next to the WWE logo. It was later revealed that this would be the return of the show ‘Arena’.
Arena is set to feature a mix of WWE Superstars, media personalities, and Twitch streamers. In a press release, the show was described by G4 President Russell Arons as a “comical collision for fans of WWE, streamers, and celebrities.”
Xavier Woods has noted that he would like to surprise UpUpDownDown fans with some new faces and that this is a moment where gaming and wrestling universes collide:
“All of our work on UpUpDownDown over the past seven years has brought us to this moment where we will see the wrestling and gaming universes collide. I’m psyched to partner with G4 and look forward to surprising our UpUpDownDown fans with some new faces in gaming each month.”

When it was announced that G4 was going to be making a comeback, Xavier Woods started to campaign for fan support. His campaign started back in July 2020, and he was hired four months later by the company. In the video which announced his arrival, the narrator described Woods as “being cool under pressure” and having a “fighting spirit”.
Earlier this month, Xavier Woods showed off a new tattoo inspired by Mega Man and Final Fantasy to his online followers. In a post on Twitter, he said that he’d been moving around the world a lot and hadn’t had a chance to show the new work to his followers.
