Xavier Woods Explains His Recent Actions; Claims He Is Protecting Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods has opened up on his recent debatable actions on WWE Raw.

For the past few weeks, fans have witnessed a different side of the former King of the Ring, Xavier Woods. Hungrier than ever, Woods has been desperately running behind victories and seems to be past his morally right character.

With the only motive to win championships in the promotion now, Woods recently addressed his actions from the past few weeks. When warned about Wyatt Sicks going after him in the future because of his actions, Woods discussed the matter online on X (Twitter):

I see people saying that the Wyatt Sicks are going to be coming after me because of the way that I’ve been moving for the past few weeks. Because I held Kofi back from trying to go help R-Truth before he got stomped out by six members of the Final Testament.

Let’s just think about this logically – of every person on the roster why would I, why would I of all people, somebody who has a deep history with the Wyatts, someone who already knows how horrible and disgusting and mentally and physically draining that fight is, why would I put that target on my back?

I have aspirations of becoming a singles champion for the first time in my WWE career, I have aspirations of becoming thirteen time World Tag Team Champions with Kofi Kingston. Why would I put that target on my back?”

He further claimed to protect Kofi Kingston and stated:

They came after Chad Gable because he did his family wrong. They came after Miz because he did his family wrong. I am doing everything I can to make sure that my family doesn’t get put in a blender week after week. So again, let’s look at this logically – they came after Miz on Monday because he was doing wrong and he was punished for that. In that same breath, I literally saved my family and I was clearly rewarded for this.

But don’t misunderstand this message because there’s a lot of you that already understand this, that fully already believe this. This message is for those of you that don’t. And for those of you who don’t, before you spout these random theories about who you think is coming after who, all I ask you is that you quit using this (points to heart) and start using this (points to head). Because that’s what I’m doing and I would love it if you would do your best to meet me there. That’s it.”

Rey Mysterio Warns Xavier Woods Ahead Of Their Battle

Xavier Woods’ recent acts have gotten him on the wrong side of several superstars. During a recent episode of Raw, fans found Rey Mysterio and Xavier Woods engaged in a heated conversation. Addressing Woods’ attempts to tamper with Mysterio’s mask, the Hall of Famer warned him:

Kofi, no disrespect to you. Woods, I’m all about good, clean competition, not like the little stunt last time we were in the ring. I’m gonna tell you one thing, you mess with my mask one more time, I’m gonna put you in your place.”
