WWE’s Plans for Roman Reigns’ New Moniker and Presentation

Roman Reigns WWE 2025 SummerSlam

Roman Reigns is rumored to be nearing his WWE return. As the company prepares for a busy weekend, it also has the first-ever two-night SummerSlam Premium Live Event on the horizon. Reigns is expected to be part of the spectacle next month in some form or fashion. He reportedly has a new moniker for when he resurfaces.

Last year, Reigns returned as the “Original Tribal Chief” (OTC), which sometimes was also referred to as “Only Tribal Chief.” His comeback happened at SummerSlam during the show’s main event. Whether history will repeat itself bears watching, but some things appear to be strikingly similar.

Roman Reigns To Be Presented As “Tribal Chief One” Upon WWE Return

According to WrestleVotes on x/Twitter, there are plans in place for Reigns to be presented as the “Tribal Chief One,” or simply “OTC1” when he is back. He is supposedly slated for a SummerSlam appearance at the MetLife Stadium. However, it is unclear whether The Head of the Table would be competing on the show.

With his return drawing closer, we’re told the moniker ‘OTC1’ — or ‘Tribal Chief One’ — is the leading idea for how Roman Reigns will be presented upon his return to TV. Sources continue to indicate Reigns is slated for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium,” WrestleVotes wrote on X.

There have been heavy rumors that Reigns would go after Seth Rollins right out of the gate when he appears. This makes sense as his former Wiseman, Paul Heyman, turned on him and aligned with The Visionary at WrestleMania 41.

With The Wiseman and his former Shield brother ruling the roost on Monday Night RAW, the fans are eagerly waiting for The Tribal Chief to show up and stop them in their tracks.
