Goldberg is all geared up for his final in-ring match.
Earlier this month, on the June 16 episode of RAW, Goldberg made his long-awaited return. Interrupting and confronting Gunther. The former Universal Champion challenged The Ring General to a title match at the upcoming July 12 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The duo is now confirmed to clash at the event in Atlanta, which will also mark an end to the Hall of Famer’s in-ring career.
Now, several reports have emerged about the Stamford-based wrestling promotion’s alleged plans for Goldberg ahead of his final bout. As per PWInsiderElite.com, the 58-year-old is scheduled to appear tonight on RAW, which is a part of a broader schedule ahead of his retirement match. As of now, the promotion plans to schedule Goldberg on all the episodes of the red brand leading up to the upcoming edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, except for one episode.
Da Man is not scheduled to appear on the Pittsburgh episode next week on June 30, 2025.
Goldberg Reflects On His Unfortunate Incident With Bret Hart
Several years ago, in 1999, Goldberg injured Bret Hart with a kick to his skull and subsequently ended his career. While the Hall of Famer issued apologies multiple times, Hart remains sour over the accident. Recently, while speaking on The National Football Show, Goldberg expressed his remorse.
I kicked Bret Hart in the head on accident a hundred years ago and I’ve been remorseful ever since. I’ve said I was sorry — and I was young in the business. People make mistakes. People have to understand that.”
