WWE shared some footage of a tear-jerking interaction between John Cena and a legendary name in the business.
Last weekend, fans were taken down memory lane as John Cena returned to his classic babyface character after months of playing the quintessential heel. So, at SummerSlam 2025, he did not disappoint.
Not only did the Never Seen Seventeen come out with his classic animations, blaring in the background on the jumbotron, but he also had a wholesome interaction with a legendary figure. The figure in question is a well-known cameraman, Stu.
The camera operator is often associated with John Cena, seeing as he often sprinted behind the former Undisputed WWE Champion every time he made his entrance. With that in mind, SummerSlam proved to be rather emotional, especially seeing as they sprinted down the ramp for the first time in months.
If seeing that wasn’t enough to melt fans’ hearts, Cena himself also acknowledged Stu’s presence, noting how much he missed him and asking if he had a “run” in him.

It truly was an epic moment, and in a way, it confirmed that babyface Cena was well and truly back.
John Cena looks set for a program with Brock Lesnar
Speaking of the events at SummerSlam, Night 2 ended with a bang. Not only did John Cena drop the title to Cody Rhodes, but he was also confronted by a returning Brock Lesnar.
Just as Cena was preparing to leave the ring, the Beast Incarnate’s music hit. It was a huge surprise, and one that has now become the most viewed video online in the history of SummerSlam.
Not only was it unexpected, but things took an interesting turn when Lesnar entered the ring and delivered a brutal F5 to Cena, essentially confirming that a program between the two is in the works.
