WWE’s Big Plans For Jey Uso Following Title Loss Revealed

Jey Uso Responds To Doubters Ahead Of Major WWE Match

Jey Uso recently lost his World Championship to Gunther on Raw.

On the June 9th episode of WWE Raw, Gunther successfully defeated Jey Uso in the main event to claim back his World title. However, while The Ring General is rumored to engage in a feud against Goldberg ahead of the July 12th Saturday Night’s Main Event, the promotion also reportedly has some big plans for Uso.

A couple of years ago, ‘Main-Event’ Jey Uso branched out of The Bloodline and began his singles career. Away from Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns, Uso quickly found his rhythm and rose to massive ranks. Now, a couple of months after his WrestleMania 41 title victory and loss, Jey is reportedly set to reunite with his twin brother.

According to a report from Cory Hays via Viper Reports and Bodyslam.net, a tag-team run with his brother might be the next direction.

“There were rumblings that WWE was looking to pair The Usos back together sometime this year and with Jey dropping the World Heavyweight Championship it’s looking like that could be the direction. The question is how does WWE get them back together in a story on TV.”

The Uso’s last PLE match together was during the 2023 Money in the Bank, and they had briefly come together for a tag-team match on the March 24 edition of Raw.

A WWE Hall Of Famer Was Not A Fan Of Jey Uso’s Money In The Bank Tag-Team Match

Ahead of Jey Uso’s June 7th Money in the Bank tag-team match, his father and Hall of Famer Rikishi revealed his thoughts on Uso’s current direction. Bashing the idea of tag match, Rikishi shared how he wanted to see a gimmick match between Uso and Logan Paul.

“Bro why? Why? I mean, Jey is a world heavyweight champion by himself. Okay. Oh, they really need to fire creative service over there now. Just book me so I can book my son’s matches out there, man. You know what I mean? Okay, you had me, but when they brought in Paul. Like I said on a past podcast, I like Logan. I thought uce, he’s got skills. He’s very entertaining. He knows how to get heat. But damn, I wouldn’t have beat him the first time they locked up together.

Could’ve just waited till a cage match or some type of gimmick match or something. Paul, he’s got heat, right? He’s got heat and this will probably be his biggest spotlight in WWE. They’re both young, Jey is young, Paul is young. Now you beat Paul, now where do you go. Into a tag team bout? Like, okay. Alright.”
