According to a new report, WWE has absolutely no plans for Sasha Banks or Naomi to return after the pair walked out of the company.
On the 16th of May edition of Raw, WWE took the unusual step of allowing fans a peek behind the curtain as they had to change their originally scheduled main event. A Six-Pack Challenge had originally been scheduled to find the number one contender for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Title at Hell In A Cell.
Sasha Banks, Naomi, Doudrop, Nikki A.S.H, Becky Lynch, and Asuka were scheduled to compete in the match but WWE was rocked during the night when Banks and Naomi handed their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title belts to Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis and left the building.
This turned the scheduled main event into a singles match between Asuka and Becky Lynch which The Empress of Tomorrow won.
Since then WWE has continued to make reference to Sasha Banks and Naomi with Michael Cole condemning their actions on SmackDown while Raw announcer Corey Graves said they had “disappointed” the WWE Universe.”
Now Bryan Alvarez speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio has said that there are no plans at all for the time being as relates to Sasha Banks and Naomi in terms of a return to the company:
“There are at this point zero plans for them to return, there is zero talk whatsoever about the two of them as it pertains to creative.”
It has been reported that Naomi’s WWE contract could be expiring soon so if this is the case then she might be finishing up with the company for good.
