WWE puts significant planning and preparation into its annual WrestleMania events. The company has been rumored to make major announcements on The Grandest Stage of Them All, and now sources are revealing key updates after an apparent mishap related to the reveal.
World Wrestling Entertainment and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia entered into a strategic partnership in 2018, and later extended the deal to bring two Premium Live Events to the country each year. The partnership was recently solidified during Night of Champions Weekend, as revealed by Triple H.
WWE officials have worked closely with Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the KSA General Entertainment Authority, and the two sides made major headlines earlier this year when they announced the 39th annual Royal Rumble for January 2026 in Riyadh, the Saudi capital. Two other Saudi PLEs were also reported for 2026.
The first-ever WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been rumored for some time, with officials fueling the rumors and speculation at times. It was recently revealed how The Rock is wanted for The Showcase of The Immortals in the Kingdom. Now the big event is reportedly confirmed to take place in 2027.
WWE Taking WrestleMania 43 To Saudi Arabia
WWE previously announced WrestleMania 42 for April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas once again after the original date at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA was cancelled. The same venue hosted WrestleMania 41, but now word is that the 43rd annual ‘Mania will be held overseas.
A press released was issued today with Turki Al-Sheikh announcing WrestleMania 43 for 2027 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The press release was quickly deleted, and PWInsider reports that it was accidentally sent out before the public reveal was scheduled.
Despite the post being deleted, sources report that the story was 100% legitimate, and an announcement from KSA and WWE is coming very soon. This will mark the first WrestleMania to be held outside of North America.
