What does Tiffany Stratton have to say about Mandy Rose’s accusation toward her?
On the first SmackDown of 2025 on January 3rd, Tiffany Stratton successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax to win her first main roster Women’s Championship. As part of her title celebration on January 10th, Stratton told the fans and wrestlers to “put some respect” on her name.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose took issue with Stratton’s use of the phrase, accusing the star of gimmick infringement despite the phrase having been used by multiple stars in the past. Speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, Rose said:
“Another little story that just happened. Friday Night SmackDown, someone, a new champion named Tiffany Stratton, used my slogan, ‘Put some respect on my name.’
To be honest, I wasn’t even watching it. I got so many tweets about it, and I was like, ‘What is going on?’ and I saw the clip, and this b***h even used the same kind of tone. I was like, ‘Hold on a second, I thought we were cool.’ I put her over here. Listen, we can admire each other, we can respect, we can look up to, but we can’t take our words from each other.” (h/t WrestlingNews.co)
Recently Tiffany Stratton urged Sabrina Carpenter to sing for her WrestleMania 41 entrance.
Tiffany Stratton Thinks Rose’s Accusation Was “Sad”
In a new interview with DS Shin of Ring the Belle, Stratton was asked about Rose’s accusation. Though she called the rant “sad,” the current Women’s Champion seems unfazed by the claim and wished Rose well.
“Honestly, I think it’s a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. I wish her the best. Honestly.”
Stratton also recently addressed comparisons to pop icon Sabrina Carpenter.
