Right now, Roman Reigns is arguably the most dominant force WWE has seen in the modern era. Since capturing the Universal Championship at Payback in 2020, The Tribal Chief has smashed through several records and defeated a who’s who of the roster.
At WrestleMania 38, Reigns added to his accolades when he defeated Brock Lesnar to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. In 2022, he surpassed 800 days with the Universal Championship, making it the sixth-longest World Title reign in company history.
Then, in December, he entered the top four on the all-time list for combined days as a WWE Champion at 1,260 days. The only men above him on that list are Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, and Bruno Sammartino.
With his list of accomplishments continuing to grow, many have asked the question of who will finally take the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship away from Roman Reigns.
MVP believes Omos will be the man to dethrone Roman Reigns
WWE veteran MVP believes he has the answer to this question in the form of his current ally, Omos. The Nigerian Giant has had an impressive run in the company so far, defeating the likes of Matt Riddle, Bobby Lashley, and AJ Styles.
MVP recently told ‘Good Karma Wrestling‘ that this was only the beginning and that Omos defeating Roman Reigns was “an inevitability”.
“I hope to accomplish one thing at this point in my career and that is leading the Nigerian Giant to championship gold. He knows what it is to be a winner; he’s been a winner his entire life. Now, he’s made it to the WWE, the NFL of professional wrestling, if you will, the absolute apex. No one is bigger, no one is stronger, and with my experience and his aptitude, the WWE Championship, I would say it’s an inevitability. We will get there, but it’s not easy.”
“[Omos and I] are trying to get there, but intelligently, step by step. The Nigerian Giant, Omos, smashing everyone in his path, and the goal, my goal, is to see him hoist the premier Championship in all of sports entertainment.”
Roman Reigns is expected to hold on to the titles until at least WrestleMania 39, with rumours continuing to circulate that he will face his cousin, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
