Is this WWE veteran coming back at the 2025 Royal Rumble?

Arguably one of the most popular names on the roster during his era, ‘The Masterpiece’ Chris Masters has enjoyed a memorable run, popularly known for the Masterlock Challenge, a submission move challenge, which wrestlers tried to break free.

Active in WWE from 2005 to 2007, and again from 2009 to 2011, Masters was a part of several iconic moments throughout his run. He was also a popular part of the TNA/Impact roster later in his career. Despite not winning any titles in both promotions, fans still vividly remember him.

Currently, active in the Indies, he believes his Royal Rumble return might not generate a pop amongst the fans. Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, Chris Masters opened up on his possible 2025 Royal Rumble appearance. Shutting down his popularity amongst the fans, the veteran claimed that if he returns, it might have to be in his hometown of Los Angeles.

“I didn’t think about it for a long time, and then about three or four years ago, I started seeing a lot of my friends come back, and I started to really kind of yearn for it and kind of try to put feelers out there, but it hasn’t come to be. I don’t know, in my mind, I think about yeah, I might get a pop, it might be kind of a cool return, but I think in the powers that be’s mind, like Hunter, for instance, in his mind, he would think that they’ve got forgotten about ‘The Masterpiece’.

It’s been too long, they’ve forgotten about ‘The Masterpiece’, nobody will care. Which I don’t know, depending on the crowd, maybe that could be the case. Maybe not a lot of people would care. But then again, maybe it would be a shock pop, like, ‘Oh my god,’ you play the old song. I don’t know. Maybe it’d have to be in my hometown, Los Angeles [laughs],”

Brushing down the chances of him appearing in Indianapolis this year, he also crushed the fan’s hopes of seeing him next year in Saudi Arabia.

Released WWE Star Comments On Her Wrestling Future

Last year before Crown Jewel 2024, Fightful Select and PWInsider noted that wrestling sensations, Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox were released by WWE. Now approaching the 90-day mark since her release, former NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell opened up on what the future holds for her.

Speaking on her recent YouTube vlog, Hartwell shared:

“With each passing day, it is getting closer to my date of free agency, which is exciting but also scary, because I don’t know what the future holds. I have been getting a lot of tweets, comments, and people in real life asking me if I’m going to continue wrestling, and it was something that I really had to think about when I got released. But come on, I’m only 28. I’m only 28, I have got so much wrestling left in me, and that’s why I’m signing these photos.”
