LA Knight is no longer the WWE United States Champion.
At the 2024 Survivor Series PLE, LA Knight lost his United States Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura. After holding the title for nearly 118 days, Knight fell victim to Nakamura’s devastating Kinshasa.
Questioning the booking decision and Knight’s surprising loss, WWE veteran and current podcaster Jim Cornette recently shared his thoughts on the event. Believing ongoing tension between the two stalwarts, Cornette shared how Knight could have “offended” the WWE Chief Content Officer. Speaking on his ‘Official Jim Cornette’ podcast, he claimed.
The question now is, who has LA Knight personally offended and why is his name Triple H? What could you do as a person to make people so dislike you that they will—you rehab yourself from being the chariman of a male modeling agency, named Max Dupri, and go back to your previous gimmick, get over with the people; they’re cheering, chanting. Then you finally win the US Title and you work with mid-card guys and get stuck working with nobody in the main events and then get beat in 10 minutes by this f**king fellow.
I am saying LA Knight has personally offended someone with three initials. Its got to be.”
Cornette blasted Nakamura’s recent championship and constantly questioned why the promotion made Knight lose the title within 10 minutes on a PLE. Making his television return after almost 7 months, The King of Strong Style was able to claim the gold in his second match.
However, there are no confirmed reports about this, and these are just Cornette’s beliefs and observations.
LA Knight Recalls Working With WWE Hall Of Famer
Speaking with Jazzy’s World, LA Knight recently opened up on his relationship with Hall of Famer Paul Bearer. Known for his legendary managerial roles with The Undertaker, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and others, Bearer was involved with Knight during his time at NWA.
I do, and he was just an awesome guy who, like, it’s so crazy in this business because there’s some times where you’ll set goals for yourself, and then there are some times where these other goals will come in that you didn’t even know you could set for yourself and that was one of the first ones where it was like oh my gosh I can be amongst all the great names that he had managed i mean if you look in the past, of course The Undertaker but he had managed Rick Rude, Steve Austin like you name all these different guys that he’d managed where it’s like okay now I’m kind of rubbing elbows with those guys.
I’m a part of that crew and to have him man he was such a good mentor in the sense that like if i ever had a question or any kind of frustration, I could voice it to him, and he would get back to me, not just with the advice, but he’d give it to me and be so thankful that I asked, which to me just spoke volumes to the man.
You know what I mean? Behind the camera, he liked to be super silly, always messing with people. We’d be cutting promos and stuff, and he’d be back here behind the camera, just whether it was, mooning people or whatever, what kind of crazy stuff where it’s just trying to get a reaction out of people where it’s just dumb stuff. But he was a lot of fun to be around.”
