WWE has officially introduced two new championship titles for its Evolve brand, with the inaugural champions set to be crowned in the coming weeks on the Tubi-exclusive Wednesday night show.
On this week’s episode of Evolve, brand authority figure Stevie Turner announced the launch of the Evolve Championship and Evolve Women’s Championship, expanding the brand’s competitive landscape. Turner revealed that both titles will be decided in upcoming four-way matches, with contenders already beginning to take shape.
The inaugural Evolve Women’s Championship match is scheduled for the Wednesday, May 28 edition of Evolve. Three of the four participants were revealed on this week’s broadcast: Wendy Choo, Kali Armstrong, and Kendal Grey. The identity of the fourth competitor is expected to be announced in the lead-up to the title match.
Meanwhile, the men’s division will see its inaugural Evolve Champion crowned on the Wednesday, June 4 episode. Sean Legacy is the first name confirmed for the bout, with the remaining three participants to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The introduction of these titles marks a significant step forward for the Evolve brand, which launched earlier this year as WWE’s newest developmental project, aimed at spotlighting emerging talent in a fresh and unique format.
Which Former WWE Star Refuted Claims They Refused To Move To The Evolve Brand?
Former WWE star Riley Osborne has responded to claims that suggested he resisted a move to the Evolve brand before his release. Osborne said that he, in fact, did work the first set of the Evolve tapings, even though his wife was released from the company very shortly before, and that if he had returned to the company when he recovered from his injury, he knew he’d be on the Evolve brand.
