WWE fans think Triple H’s AJ Lee return post is also directed to a current AEW star.
This week’s WWE SmackDown episode was filled with exciting moments, the major one taking place during the main event. The closing segment of the September 5 episode of the Friday show saw CM Punk confront Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins again. This time around, The Best in the World wasn’t alone.
After the Women’s Intercontinental Champion continuously slapped The Voice of the Voiceless again, AJ Lee’s music hit, and out came the returning superstar, who then attacked The Man. This marked the first time in over a decade that the former Divas Champion appeared in WWE since initially retiring in April 2015.
To commemorate the occasion, Triple H took to social media, where he posted his iconic finger-pointing photo with AJ Lee and another photo with CM Punk also pointing to the returning superstar. While some focused on the photo, the caption got the attention of others.
Interestingly, some think the caption could be a hidden message to current AEW star Mercedes Mone, who wrestled in WWE as Sasha Banks from 2012 to 2022.

Fans Are Convinced Triple H Wants Mercedes Mone Back In WWE In AJ Lee Return Post
Many fans expressed that after seeing the caption from Triple H’s AJ Lee return post, the first person that came to mind was AEW star Mercedes Mone.
I think it goes out to EVERYONE. But I did think of Mercedes straight away

I instantly thought of Mercedes. Though everyone keeps throwing other names around, it sounds like it was for her specifically.”
However, some didn’t have the most positive reaction. While some think The Game wants her to return to the Stamford-based promotion, they noted that the company might “lowball” Mercedes’ contract.

Meanwhile, some other fans outright expressed not wanting to see the former Sasha Banks under the WWE banner again.
