WWE teases new tag-team formation.
On the 21st February episode of SmackDown, Jimmy Uso opened up the night with a win over Drew McIntyre. Soon after, in a backstage segment, The Miz and Carmelo Hayes found themselves in a heated verbal exchange with R-Truth.
With a tag match announced between them, R-Truth promised to show up with his surprise partner. As the second match of the night began, R-Truth fought alongside LA Knight, against the team of ‘Melo Don’t Miz’.
For weeks now, The A-Lister has been in search of an ally since being drafted to SmackDown. After his previous tragic weeks on the blue brand, the former World Champion found an alliance with Hayes. Despite a rocky start during their initial ring entrance, Hayes and Miz’s teamwork improved demonstrably as their debut performance showcased a formidable double-team finisher that effectively combined elements of the First-48 and the Skull Crushing Finale.
Thanks to interference from Shinsuke Nakamura, ‘Melo Don’t Miz’ snatched away the victory and teased the signs of a new tag-team development.
